Ballet Companies

Our ballet companies are perfect for dancers ages 8 and older that want to be more involved in our ballet programs. While more is expected of these dancers, they get even more in return! Ballet Company dancers attend an extra technique class each week, as well as Friday rehearsals. Each company has a group piece and will often receive an additional role. Our main roles are chosen from our company members, so if your dancer has goals of being The Nutcracker, Clara, the Sugarplum Fairy, or any other big role in our shows, this is the place for them! Casting for our main roles will be dependent on skill, as well as behavior and attendance. Audition and signed contract required.

Copeland Company

Copeland Company is for dancers 13+ in Intermediate/Advanced Pointe or Advanced Pointe who want additional technique classes and multiple roles in our performances.

Requirements

  • Technique class 2x/week
  • Conditioning class 1x/week
  • Friday company classes
  • Any scheduled rehearsals (mostly held on Fridays)
  • Fulfill minimum expected summer classes (if planning to participate in Company the following year)

Schedule

  • Weekly class for their age group
    • Intermediate/Advanced Pointe (both days):
      • Tuesdays 6:15-7:45
      • Thursdays 7:30-9:00
    • Advanced Pointe (both days):
      • Tuesdays 6:15-7:45
      • Thursdays 7:30-9:00
  • Conditioning class: Tuesdays 7:45-8:45
  • Company class: Fridays 4:00-5:30 PM
  • Rehearsals as scheduled (usually on Fridays)

Performance Opportunities

  • The Nutcracker and Spring recital:
    • Weekly class role
    • Copeland company role
    • Other role(s) given after auditions
  • Other performances that arise (schools, communities, etc.)

Pricing

  • Company Tuition: $50/month (in addition to the monthly tuition for the weekly technique class)
  • Conditioning Class (Required): $35/month
  • Performance fee: $150/semester (replaces the performance fee for the weekly technique class)
    • Performance fee for dancers in Main Roles: $175

Mikhail Company

Mikhail Company is for dancers 10-12 in Beginning Pointe or Beginning/Intermediate Pointe who want additional technique classes and multiple roles in our performances.

Our Pre-Company is for dancers ages 8-10 who want to get the feel of being part of Ballet Company with a slightly lighter commitment.

  • Technique class 1x/week
  • Friday company classes
  • Scheduled rehearsals (usually on Fridays)

Schedule

  • Weekly class for their age group
    • Ballet 7-8: Thursdays 5:00-6:00 PM
    • Ballet 9-10: Tuesdays 5:00-6:15 PM
    • Ballet 10+: Wednesdays 5:00-6:00 PM
  • Company class: Fridays 4:00-5:30 PM
  • Rehearsals as scheduled
